The fifth installment in the LP on LP vinyl series showcases Twist and Stash from the opening night of two Nassau Coliseum shows (April 2, 1998). Nassau hosted the first of two, two-night engagements that comprised Phishs Island Tour - an impromptu live excursion on Long Island and Rhode Island that arose during The Story of the Ghost pre-production sessions in Vermont. On side A is the deep-space Island Twist from set II that explored intergalactic territory with a bass nod to Star Trek. Side Bs Stash from set I also went deep with a beautiful, sometimes dark jam that erupted into staccato melody and an ambient outro. Together these two tracks capture the exploratory feel of the Island Tour shows. LP on LP 05 was recorded by Paul Languedoc and mixed from the multitrack masters by Vance Powell. Fishmarket Stew first edition colored pressing.

Fantastic choices for vinyl here. Historic vinyl-vibe wind-down's near the tail end of both of these jams, perfect for decompressing after the wild ride that comes up front. Humble request would be more 1.0 vinyl, please!

Excellent pick for a 2 song vinyl. This is one of the best, if not the best Twist ever. The Space Invaders Twist. The Stash goes from total chaos to bliss. 2 beautiful pieces of music from '98, with the smooth warm sound of spinning wax.

It's a wonderful looking album and some of the greatest jams from the Island Tour. Only minor observation is the vocal track for "Twist" is a bit hissy with "s" being pronounced. The instrumentals are crisp and clear though!

LP 5 I wasn't sure about the colors but it's easily one of the prettier vinyls in my collection (and two of my favorite songs) both are beautiful, dynamic pressings. this is a solid series of vinyls they do and I think they're only getting better
